We love this game…
We’re a bunch of shoe dogs who grew up on the game of soccer and have loved watching the game progress. From the level of play on the pitch to the innovation of the best soccer shoes, we’ve been there to witness it all. So, first, we start with a love of the game…
But then we got angry…
We’re sick and tired of sameness in the marketplace. We don’t believe that online retailers are doing their job. Let us get philosophical here for a second:
You used to go to a retailer to get expert knowledge about products. With the expansion of the internet – and the ability to grab information with a single query – online retailers became lazy. Now, every store has all the same products and consumers became more educated than the retail stores and their employees. If you don’t believe us, look at the product descriptions for all the soccer stores out there. They take the product descriptions directly from adidas, Nike and Puma and put them up. Or, just go into a store and ask a few questions…you’ll find a lack of education on all products. Now, you might ask, “What’s the problem with that?”
We’ll, we have a major problem with that. Information without insight provides no service to the consumer. And, that just burns us up. If stores continue to deplete their value in the supply chain by not fulfilling this promise of expert knowledge, they will have a more difficult time selling into the marketplace and will be forced to sell solely on price. Online soccer stores will become peddlers of product instead of niche, expert helpers to get you into the right product at the right price to meet your needs. Due to this marketplace vacuum, we believe you can find cheap soccer shoes that perform – you just have to know what shoe has a history of performing…and which ones are on sale because they stink.
How we’re different from Soccer Stores…
Soccer stores own the product they sell you. We don’t own inventory of any of these shoes. As a result, we’re not trying to push an awful shoe – even sale soccer shoes – we’re just here to educate, inform and converse. Store owners are trying to clear out their back room in time for their next shipment…and might direct you towards shoes that don’t meet your needs. We don’t really care which shoes you pick. Find, pick and buy the the soccer shoes you want…after doing the research to find out what shoe is best for you. We just want you to be educated about the process. Now, we do benefit from an affiliate commission if you buy a discount soccer shoe through our link at the bottom of the review. But, we think that is only fair since we’re doing the work to educate you, the consumer…besides, it only ends up being a few bucks at the end of the month for a pint of beer we can share.
