Overall
The evolution of soccer shoes has arced from traditional and distinctive black and white boots to the wild, futuristic shoes of today. One of the complaints that some soccer players make is that modern shoes look more like space boots than soccer shoes.
That complaint cannot be said of the Adidas adiPURE III TRX FG.
These cleats are not your grandfather’s soccer shoes, but they do retain an air of tradition that is incredibly stylish. This is a kangaroo leather boot that gives you a clean touch for executing moves on the fly. These firm ground soccer shoes are made to improve play at any level. And oh, yeah, Kaka wears them – and we all know how picky the Brazilian is and how deft his touch.

Style
The kangaroo leather is butter soft and super flexible. Wearing the Adidas Adipure iii TRX FG is like wearing a glove on your foot. The asymmetrical boot lacing is designed to give players better ball contact at the instep but we just think it makes them all the more comfortable.
Available in a range of colors from classic black and white to blue and metallic white we personally prefer the look of the Adidas Adipure iii TRX FG metallic offerings over all the others but that is a personal choice. They all look amazing.
The only downside is, as others have mentioned is that on the white leather versions (there are different color variations) gets grimy easily and needs a little attention right after the game to keep them looking as good as you’d like.
Durability
Adidas make a quality soccer shoe over and over again, year after year. The signature kangaroo leather uppers need a little extra TLC to keep them in shape game after game but taken care of the right way this is a shoe with a long life expectancy.
A number of people we know have switched from the Adidas Adipure ii TRX FG because they feel that the craftsmanship is a little better in this generation of boots but we can’t say that we have noticed a huge difference between the two.

The adiPURE III TRX FG are a solid, well-built boot that I recommend for anyone looking for substance as well as style. The leather is super comfortable, and takes little to no time to break in, and there is no noticeable pressure from the studs. The heel is slippery, which requires me to tie the shoes too tightly for my liking, but that is something I am willing to deal with so long as the boots remain comfortable in all other areas. I am normally a size US11, but I had to order a US11.5 to fit correctly. No problems with the width. The white leather gets dirty very easily, so I recommend cleaning them with a toothbrush and soapy water after every use, and drying them with a soft dishtowel to keep the leather in good shape.
Performance
The Adidas Adipure iii TRX FG is a Cadillac boot that performs for the top level players of the game, but adapts itself well to any playing ability. In testing these out some of us felt that yes, we were more in control of the ball due to the kangaroo leather upper. Kangaroo leather provides for the softest feel and mold to your feet like a glove, which results in a better “touch” on the ball. You and the shoe become one.
Again, the TPU sole plate with Traxion outsole creates outstanding comfort and excellent traction on the field.
Adidas Adipure iii TRX FG cleats do, like any other quality soccer shoe, take a game or so to break in but there were a lot less blisters at the end of the first session in them than we have experienced with other styles.
