I just got these today and couldn’t wait to try them out I was a little nervous about getting blisters but i had no problem with that. Basically these fit like a glove on your foot if you get the right size and at the same time its like nothing is there they are simply great. Style
Cyan? Ultra Beauty? Who comes up with these colors? The style of the F50 adizero can only be described as futuristic. adidas has mixed technology with crazy colors and a unique design to create this masterpiece. With some of the wacky colors that have been put into the marketplace by brands recently, this one follow suit…but it isn’t for the feint of heart. This shoe demands the attention of everyone, so if you decide to pull these boots on, you better have game to back it up. The most interesting aspect of the shoe is that adidas took a non-traditional approach to its coveted three-stripe marking. I wonder what Adi Dassler would think.
Durability
With a minimalist approach, obviously performance could come into question. The single layer Sprintskin is not yet proven as an upper material and for those of us who have been around long enough, we know that first generation shoes can have some issues (think original clunky Predators and sole-separating Mercurials). This shoe seems to be well-constructed and feedback in the marketplace says that there have not been any widespread issues affecting quality.
The ultralight adiprene sockliner is designed to not add bulk or weight to the shoe. As a tip of the cap to durability of the sockliner, adidas has included a second pair. This tells us that they have some concerns that the sockliner will break down over time.
Adidas has created two versions of this shoe: a synthetic leather one (as shown) and a leather model. This appeals to all players in the marketplace – those looking for lightweight performance, but classic leather and those completely cutting-edge players who are willing to bleed at the end of the earth to play the game.
Performance
Sprintskin is an innovative, single layer synthetic leather. This material significantly drastically reduces the adizero’s weight and accounts for the “speed initiative”. With the internal TPU support bands in the upper, it provides the shoe with additional support and stability.
Asymmetrical shoe lacing system provides a better fit on the foot as well as a large surface area for clean strikes on the ball. If you’re worried about speed wobbling in these boots, adidas hs re-configured the outsole to meet this demand. The Traxion outsole’s new stud configuration improves your balance while you’re moving at light speed. A low toe box enables players to easily lift the ball.
For a minimalist shoe, comfort can be an issue as support is sacrificed for weight. While the shoe isn’t going to be able to provide the absolute glove like appeal of an Umbro Speciali or a Copa Mundial, it is an excellent trade in comfort for weight. We think the comfort is reasonable.
