Overall

Laceless soccer shoes. Really? As one of those players that wants soccer shoes that you can pull on and lace up tightly, I was very skeptical of the Gravity Tre. I was imagining white Leisure Suit Larry shoes when Lotto announced they were building a slip on speed shoe. Now, I was right on the white part, but they are anything but tacky. The Tre was a little difficult to pull on and you really need a shoe horn to get yourself into these babies, but it was a dream once you pulled it on for the first time.  The Gravity fits and feels like a tight slipper. You literally become one with the boots. The water-resistant synthetic upper molds to the foot – and I’m sure will only get better with time – which makes for a snug, tight fit and excellent touch on the ball. I really liked the fit and feel of these soccer cleats.

My only initial concern is that I can see some player forgetting the shoe horn – an important tool for this shoe – and damaging the heel counter trying to get into them.

We recommend you use the Lotto Zhero Gravity Tre on firm, natural surfaces.

Style

I’m not thrilled with the styling. I see what the designer was trying to do with the racing lines on the sides, but it just doesn’t work for me. It falls in the in-between of a classic shoe, but with a futuristic hope. There are some reports from the fields where the graphics have peeled off the shoe. Obviously, this isn’t the focus of the shoe design, but we think Lotto could have done a little bit better in matching this innovative shoe to what an innovative player might expect on the styling side of the shoes.

Durability

Anytime a shoe is made in Italy, we’re going to be a little bit partial to it. This is no exception. Unfortunately, there have been a number of reports where the upper has separated from the outsole, so this is something to watch for – especially when you’re dropping $350.

Soccer.com reviewer:

I bought the first generation of zhero gravity when they came out. Ever since that time I’ve been hooked on them. I now have this new generation of lotto as I go into playing soccer in college. The no laces and grippy top surface of the foot help incredibly for ball control and shots. The removable studs that allow for hard, soft, or firm ground use is definitely a nice option to have. And no, the boots don’t fall off your feet. I’d even venture as far as to say they stay on better than laced cleats. The zhero gravity cleat is the bomb.

Performance

Yes, this shoe performs. While generally attracted to natural leather shoes, I found the Lotto Zhero Gravity Tre’s upper to match a K leather upper. The fact that the synthetic microfiber is water-resistant is even a further plus as everyone plays in rain somewhere along the way. You won’t be slogging along with these.

The slipper technology works and joins you as one with the boot. The laces are finally out of the way in impeding your touch and feel on the ball. Now that is a revolution! One aspect that is kinda neat is the dual removable insoles, which helps in customizing the fit of the shoes since there are no laces.

Finally, the Gravity Tre integrates Puntoflex technology for maximum flex in the forefoot, which enhances comfort  and performance. It’s like the shoe is already broken in for you when you pull them on.
